Industrious
To be industrious entails untiring, hard working or bravery, yet in some professions, these attributes are unseen and exploited. The passion expressed by industrious individuals is often exploited because of consumerism. Consumerism can objectify these people by branding them as products for consumption. The industrious attributes in being a student, athlete, police officer or a teacher are a social issue because society may overlook and under appreciate contributions of these professions. The ratio of contribution vs. compensation in comparison to other professions is clearly exploitation (Villamor, 2002, p.49).
I have had several experiences that proof the value of the word industrious. Almost every successful person I know in my society displays exemplary hard work. Their respective industrious spirits allow them to succeed in their professional. The aspect of hard work is multifaceted and has diverse meanings to several people. Industrious people understand that it is fundamental to observe certain virtues in their respective societies. Some of these values include punctuality and displaying admirable integrity (Sundue, 2009, p.96).
Such people are admirable and in turn risk objectification of their skills. They become reference points in their respective professions. Industrious students must receive adequate motivation from their instructors and respective parents. Other professionals should also receive adequate motivation that encourages them with the industrious attribute. Societies that register the above levels of motivation will have several benefits. These benefits include having their industrious citizenry (Green & Wolf, 2003, p. 63)
Industrious people are beneficial to the significance of any economy. They ensure that they employ diverse facets of being industrious in most activities that they partake. These facets also include obedience to ethics of their work place. This is of significant social benefit and reduces undesirable crime rates. Societies whose people engage in industrious activities do not waste their time on establishing corrective institutions. Instead, these societies create other polices that enable them to be perfect (Astoria & Soderstrom, 2007, p.94).
All professions must realize the numerous benefits of industrious employees. They should ensure that they keep these professionals in high regard to motivate them. Industrious employees are significant because they minimize on the time that the respective management of their organization will spend on supervision. This suggests that industrious people contribute to success of their respective organization. There should be deliberate efforts to train people of diverse societies on industry. These efforts will aid ignorant people in understanding several justifications for being industrious. These efforts should involve relevant people in the respective societies. Such people include people who have significant social benefit in their respective societies (Cobbett, 2003, p. 75).
There are extremely many types of this word industrious. Its applicability is relevant to several instances in an individuals’ life. It does not have to be the professional aspect of their lives. People need to display industrious characters in almost everything that they do. This will help them to develop their diverse socialization skills. Being industrious will also enable them to prevent laziness within their societies. Lazy people in industrious businesses will register a change in character. They will notice the benefits that their industrious friends experience and in turn became industrious (Villamor, 2002, p. 92).
Police officers sometimes display immoral characters of not being industrious. When this happens, several innocent people are disadvantaged. This implies that the police officers need to be extremely industrious. Their hard work in citizen protection will lead to utmost peace in their respective societies. According to Villamor (2002), successful societies attempt to display all types of industriousness in their people. Their people are normally industrious in both their respective homes and school. Such societies also ensure that their school systems encourage the fundamentals of being industrious to their students.
The word industrious has the following synonyms that ensure people understand the entire meaning of the word. Some of these synonyms include the word untiring. Another synonym of industrious is hard working. Hard working people realize outstanding achievements that enable them to earn respect.
