World Mental Health Day is held on 10 October each year. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote open discussion. This day encourages more transparent discussion of illnesses and investments in prevention and treatment services.
A mental health organization – Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) wants to develop a media relations campaign to raise awareness of Postnatal Depression illness and convey key messages that Postnatal Depression is treatable and that recover is possible and achievable in World Mental Health Day this year.
Conduct an issues analysis – monitor news media on Postnatal Depression and write a report in 500 words. This analysis will help SAMH to work out the importance of issues that SAMH faces and to identify those needed for public relation practitioner to focus on in strategic public relations planning.
The analysis will also help to review formative research findings so that public relation practitioner can write a situation analysis and goals and objectives for a public relations strategy.
