Marketing Analysis Assignment
For the assignment you are required to undertake a detailed marketing analysis for a brand of your choice. Your analysis should consider the main principles in the marketing topics covered in the module lectures and the course text book. The target word count for the assignment is 3000 words, although you should use appendices to include supporting information and analyses where appropriate. You can choose any brand you like for your analysis, but you need to ensure that you can access sufficient marketing information and data about the brand in order to complete the assignment successfully. You may select a brand from one of the leading brand ranks, such as:
Millward Brown Top 100 Global Brands or Interbrand Best Global Brands. You might prefer to choose to analyse a leading regional brand (e.g. Continental Europe, UK, Asia, Latin America), e.g.: http://www.millwardbrown.com/BrandZ/Top_100_Global_Brands/Regions.aspx
Another option would be to select a smaller brand that is well-known in its region. If this is not a UK- based brand you will need to add an appendix with key details of the company’s background (e.g. market sector, turnover, location/s). Think carefully about the brand you will focus on in your analysis. Don’t just pick a brand because you like it or it is familiar to you. If you choose one that you feel has room for improvement in its strategy this will give you more to discuss and analyse. Assess whether you can access enough information about the brand and whether it is interesting in terms of marketing analysis.
