People often indicate that they witnessed a crash when in fact they simply responded to hearing the sound of the crash, missing the actual impact and certainly the lead up to the impact. Does this necessarily mean that they have no value as a witness? From an evidential perspective, how would you determine the ‘value’ of any witness?
