Stas Orlovski at LACMA
The exhibition presented the drawings that offered the surrealism style. The exhibition aired by Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) featured completed works completed through the inspiration of 100 artists. These artists were from 15 countries and presented 250 pieces. There had been pieces presented to display the styles used in completing artworks that improved on the renaissance period.
Surrealism used drawing as the most viable measure of expression despite the contribution by sculptures and paintings. The major works including paintings from the famous Salvado Dali are found within LACMA to present the dedication of the museum to the style of painting. One of the Surrealist painters is Stas Orlovski who applies techniques in drawing to offer the contemporary form of surrealism (Amir).
Stas applies the mechanism of exploring natural elements in his pieces to generate the effect that develops surrealism. The example of his pieces on Nocturne explored landscapes in a surreal manner and developed characteristics in imagery of flowers with flying birds. Stas applies the printing technique to produce his works and incorporate images on a Japanese paper. The images in a single print may be reprinted to reproduce works that give the illusionary effect. The manipulation of the images and print are applied to generate illusions that give the effect of a manipulated piece that defines Stas’s style. His style is applied on Russian children’s books that is marked with the prints of botanical images arranged in an intricate manner to present the unknown. The other style witnessed in Stas’s pieces realizes the application of mixed media in completed a piece (Amir). He applies both prints and other mediums like painting to give the impression of dreams and the unnatural.
