Department Of Defense (DOD) Project
The department of defense in any Nation is a program which is primarily aimed at bringing harmony into the nation. It executes programs that are intended at reinstating health to the military officers and this is mainly accomplished through a one to one support to the military. In the U.S.A the project has also embraced the issue on the HIV prevention and this is mostly addressed to the military officers. For an efficient an effective operating within the military, a more pronounce d and modern system on the department of defense ought to be proposed to the military. I therefore, propose on ‘major weapon system ‘as the topic of discussion (Bolten, 2008).
Major weapon system
This is one of the one of the systems which has been implemented in fulfillment of the military operations. Any critical issue within the military, which may include the resources that the military officers require, is provided by the system. Apart from creating harmony within a nation, it is also aimed at dealing with some other social issues within the military. It is a limited system in the military operation and this is due to the tasks it performs. In this proposal I will discuss on the challenges inhibiting the project, which will entail political impacts on the project and the financial aspects involved. The research proposal will also entail the systems preference as opposed to other DOD projects and the current status of the system (Sullian, 2009).

A. The major weapon system that will be introduced will be aimed at enhancing effective operations within the military operations.
B. Apart from creating harmony within a nation through provision of modern warfare equipments, the weapon system will also offer other social services, for instance health services to the military and the community (Sullian, 2009).

Besides producing security apparatus aimed at preventing anticipated threats to the nation, the Major weapon system will embrace a procedure of purchasing weapons meant for get together in tactical directions and the priorities established in the National Military Strategy National defense strategy, and National strategy for Homeland Security (Bolten, 2008).
II. Political forces affecting the project
A. There is a presumption that with an increase in economical integration which has rooted the political influence into the economic status of a country, the project will be altered as most of the activities will be dependent on it (Bolten, 2008).
B. The shift of power from the government control will also have some impacts on the project. The private control by the multinational companies will compromise the services offered by the project (Sullian, 2009).

A. In acquisition of the materials required for the development of the system, much funding will be required as the process will also involve being relocated to other favorable places (Sullian, 2009).
B. Also the acquisition procedures will be improved for better follow-up. This will involve an enhanced recruitment of the military workforce which will require a great deal of finance (Bolten, 2008).

A. The present status of the system is at the devastating state in terms of the operation. Economical, social, political and technological aspects have greatly challenged the operations within the military (Bolten, 2008).
V. Recommendation
A. I recommend that in future that culture that the DOD has embraced in carrying out it is operation should be transformed for the better and also for the welfare of the military forces (Sullian, 2009).
B. Also the major weapon system should be governed from a central point and this will enhance quality and effective military operations (Bolten, 2008).
C. The program is worth pursuing as this will transform the general standards of the peoples from the security perspectives to the economic status (Sullian, 2009).
