1) According to Schermerhorn, the 3 major human resource management responsibilities are; attracting a quality workforce, developing a quality workforce, and maintaining a quality workforce. Research an organization that you are familiar with that is in need of a change.

2) In a 1,000- 1,250 word paper, address the following questions based on the organization you have selected and the major human resource management responsibilities:

a) What it the organization you have selected and what is needed to be changed?

b) Why does this change need to occur? Why may be the consequences if this change does not occur?

c) How should this organization attract, develop, and maintain the workforce required to bring about your proposed change?

d) How should this organization attract a quality workforce? What should be considered in human resource planning, recruitment, and selection?

e) How should this organization go about the process of employee orientation, training and development, and performance appraisal to support the change?

f) What would need to be done regarding career development, work-life balance, compensation and benefits, employee retention and turnover, and labor-management relations?

3) Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
