The emotional and inspirational impact behind ‘Patch Adams’ film
Introduction
A form of entertainment that enacts a story by sound and a sequence of images giving the illusion of continuous movement, as with many of the products of human creativity, often reproduces many empirical and unifying ideas that is a recurrent element in literary or artistic work. This essay presents suggestions of ‘Patch Adams’ film which reveal inspirational and emotional themes. The information about the film is sketchy so as to keep the viewere’s interest in it. Consequently, ‘Patch Adams’ is a film many in the health industry could learn much from, one that provides emotional and inspirational lessons about taking care of sick people. The film is also an interesting comedy.
Dr. Hunter Campbell, warmly recognized as ‘Patch Adams’, was the emotional and inspirational impact behind ‘Patch Adams’, a film which stars Robin Williams. From ‘Patch Adams’ viewers discover that after Dr. Hunter Campbell goes through many difficult situations in his life, such as the death of his loved ones, he is subjected to a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity and contemplated killing of himself. However, during Dr. Campbell’s admission to the mental hospital, one of the patients makes an emotional and inspirational impact on him and making him experience love again. However, it was this patient who gave him the nickname Patch.
Following Hunter Campbell (Hunter Patch Adams) discharge from the psychological hospital, he is formally registered as a participant in medical school. However, during his admission in the medical school, Hunter visits his patients and derives pleasure from doing amusing things which amuse them. In fact he was using a type of laughter therapy on his patients. Patch graduated from a medical school and became a doctor. He has practiced the laughter therapy on his patients all through his profession. Nevertheless, besides using the results of laughter in his professional career, he also establishes a hospital, the Gesudheit Institute (1972) where medical practitioners work for a little pay, and the patients are never charged. This paper will explore how the film ‘Patch Adams’ uses techniques, such as photography,; movement, sound, acting, drama and story, to help effectively portray this true story.
Literature overview
Nearly all of us have heard the axiom ‘Laughter is the best medicine’. However, most of us do not take it literally, believing it is just a trick for medical practitioners to inspire children (and some grown-ups) from weeping or showing displeasure or anger when they are unwell and when they go to see the doctor. On the other hand, what most people do not understand is that there is some fact behind this, and no one understands it more than Hunter Campbell Adams.
The film ‘Patch Adams’ is centered around the true autobiography of Hunter Adams, or Patch Adams, who is well-known American medical practitioner, writer, public servant and qualified clown. After Patch Adams’ admission to the mental hospital, he decides to study medicine with the aim of using this as a way of producing social transformation. In line with his life history, he is admitted to a medical school without an earlier undergraduate degree, and soon he obtains his medical doctorate from the Medical College of Virginia.
An emotional and inspirational film about Dr. Hunter Campbell’s namesake was aired in 1998, paying homage to Patch Adams’ life and efforts. The film, starring Robin Williams, was poorly received by critics, but it was a big success at the box office, making the comedian medical practitioner a household name.
Patch Adams understands that an individual’s health is closely linked to his/her
surroundings. In essence, he assumes that the health of an individual is influenced by the health and condition of his or her family and neighborhood. As a result, the true state of being free of physical or psychological disease, illness, or malfunction is attained by keeping not only physical health, but emotional health as well.
Laughter is a technique which Patch Adams uses with the aim of accomplishing a state of being free of physical or psychological disease, or malfunction for his patients. Without a doubt, he takes the ancient axiom to heart. Laughter does have encouraging results to the body as far as inspirational and emotional characteristics are concerned. When an individual expresses positive emotions, signals are sent to the part of the central nervous system that includes the entire higher nervous center, thus causing the body to produce endorphins which create a permanent emotion of happiness. This is where Patch Adams quite literally draws his inspiration from, as laughter is the most effective medicine to assist in easing the troubled minds of both children and grown-ups and speeding up their recovery. A person’s mind, especially one that favors one alternative over another, can drastically boost therapeutic processes, and Patch Adams strongly accepts this. ‘Patch Adams’ may well be the most horrible film to have ever been shown, but it rises above all other films in all its mixed misery. It is terrible, because it is unhealthy, cruel, and one of the most deliberately depressing films of all time.
It has all the makings of a bad movie. The performing arts is just acceptable for viewers not to laugh at it, ditto for the exchange of ideas, and the funny story. For hours the film inspires one thereby making one feel trapped in the theatrical production, while I watched this monstrous monument to all that is wrong with the cinema. The absurdity is on the level of “fractured” magazine. Maybe coarse and ridiculous enough to make a teenager with a rigorous lack of self-esteem nervous laugh. It’s obliged, devastatingly so. Could anybody, honestly look at the scene where Patch tries to demonstrate that the mental enduring whose hand is constantly raised has something to say, and laugh or see the most remote traces of wit in it.
It is my hypothesis that the only explanation that any person would watch this movie, is because they are short of self-esteem. They don’t feel that they are good enough to see a good movie. In a nation where people guzzle up drugs and alcohol in devouring handfuls just to bring to an end the pain of living; one can distinguish how movies like Patch Adams can make use of people when they are at their very worst.
I was enthusiastic to give up to this film’s scheming performances, but desolately I was unable to find any. I couldn’t find where I was hypothetical to cry, or feel sad. And then there are the series that end up having completely no connotation at all. There is an uncomfortable stretch of film where for some odd basis; Patch attends a “meat convention”. We get countless “meat jokes” that are only humorous by an act of faith.
Patch Adams is in essence afflicted with or characteristic of mental derangement. One of the mainly disconcerting progressions in the film is where he embezzles medical provisions from a hospital, to use in his own. If you were doomed enough to be in that hospital, and they run out, well that’s just tough. You will have to die. In fact because of his improbability, he soon has a blameless person’s blood on his hands. This incident is surpassingly put into the film to grasp some tears out of the spectators, given that it has enormously no consequence towards the plot or the thesis of the movie. (If anything it works against it, if people will pass away due to Patch’s unconventional ways, they should not be put into practice.) It truly does not work.
I pay attention to the public congratulating this movie, at times I suppurate . You are all very elegant people, I know you are, and you are worthy of something enhanced than THIS! I have not been able to find any gratifying argument of the accusations I have put alongside this movie. We all keep in mind the “management” progressions in Clockwork Orange, where Alex is fastened into his seat and compelled to watch pictures of sexual characteristics and brutality on the manipulation of drugs. The society that he facilitated to produce is being used against him. That is what I felt during “Patch Adams”. Character and assessments that we all distribute and value, one way or another now feel horrible. As a result of this, Patch Adams instituted a wellbeing association in the late sixties, which assists in transporting joy and joie de vivre to the sick in different establishments and hospitals all the way through the world.
The Gesundheit Learning Institute is a nonprofit organization that concerns itself with emphasizing the organic or functional relation between parts and the whole medical care. However, according to its website, the Gesundheit Learning Institute accepts as true the fact that the physical condition of an individual cannot be disconnected from the health of the individual’s society, family and the rest of the world. It has survived for thirty-seven years, and its unpaid assistants range from medical practitioners to professors.
The Gesundheit Learning Institute also voices concern over medical dealings. They accept as true the fact that appropriate medical care should be accessible to anyone who requires it. According to its official website, the institute maintains the following principles in mind through their variety of developments and enterprises:
– Medical care is free of charge.
– Persons who require medical care are treated as friends.
– More than enough time is prearranged to the care communication (e.g. preliminary consultations with patients should be at least 3 hours long).
– All corresponding medication is welcomed.
– The wellbeing of the staff is as significant as the well-being of the patients.
– Care is pervaded with fun and play.
Sharing the Dream
Patch does most things repeatedly, and he shows no intention of stopping his work to go after his dream. Every year Patch accompanies a person who performs voluntary work (no experience necessary) in Russia where they attract attention to hospitals, orphanages and old people’s homes.
Patch is also a person who knows how to conduct trainings and lessons on nervous tension administration, wellness, laughter and health care system.
He inspires with confidence, he gives hope or courage to everyone and his most admired line is “the most markedly new or introducing fundamental change of act one can use entirely for a specific person, activity, or cause in our world is to be happy.”
Yes, without a doubt, a happy person has an immune system that has strength or power greater than average or is much less yielding readily to or capable of easily getting an illness, as well as many signs and symptoms of stress.
According to Dr. Adams, the activity of laughing, which is manifestation of joy, mirth or scorn, is indeed the most effective medicine. He is well known for being unexpected, slightly eccentric, sometimes to the extent of being weird, and unorthodox in seeking information from patients. As a patient, you may express a wish to see your doctor bearing a red nose, being clothed as a clown and riding a unicycle.
The natural process by which the body repairs itself through laughter, such as manifestation of joy, mirth or scorn and pleasure felt when having a good time, is seen throughout the film ‘Patch Adams’.
Dr. Hunter Patch Adams has demonstrated to the medical community the consequences of the activity of laughing, i.e. the manifestation of joy, mirth or scorn and its effects on healing. He proved that laughter can be truly the best medicine.
Thus, individuals are able to relieve stress easily simply by laughing..

I found not a single sentence here that supports the thesis statement. Everything you have written reminds more of a movie review, which is definetely not an argumentative essay.
