Individual Capstone Project
Each student will analyze a specific critical issue in health care. The student will conduct extensive research on the critical issue, to include the Internet as well as other primary and secondary resources. The student will prepare a written analysis (20 pages). The written analysis will address identification of key problems/strategic implications associated with the critical issue.
1. Diagnose the critical issue.
2. Size up what problems or strategic implications need to be addressed.
3. Decide what analysis to conduct. This includes the use of appropriate analytical tools and techniques, including the use of charts and tables where appropriate. Students are expected to demonstrate that they can use the tools and techniques of strategic analysis presented in the text. Both the breadth and depth of the analysis will be evaluated.
4. Apply the concepts and tools in a careful and thorough fashion, while presenting realistic, workable, well-supported alternative courses of action.
5. Evaluate the pros and cons of the various alternatives, and then make a final recommendation on a specific course of action. As a minimum, the student will prepare a comprehensive report that covers the entire process of identifying (or diagnosing), evaluating, and recommending. The reports will deal with the major problems and strategic implications raised. All written analysis are to be typed (double-spaced) and should incorporate correct form, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and communications skills
I have chosen the issue that in most cases minors should not have the right to confidentiality if their parent is still their guardian, and especially if they are on their parents insurance. I do not have a strong thesis or an introduction to what I have already written. I am uploading the 4 pages that I have already written. I would still like an introduction to be written for me as well as my thesis to be added on to so that it is more strong and clear(please see thesis on outline) I have written an outline which I am attaching. I would like the outline to be used as a guide for my personal views on the subject, but please feel free to add or take away as necessary. Please use as many sources as you would like but at least a minimum of 10.
