Reinstatement Paper
Numerous factors contributed to my recent dismissal from the university. The first reason was an intense feeling of homesickness. The feeling was extremely disturbing and led to other inappropriate behaviors. I was unable to manage my time in a perfect manner. I would spend most of time reminiscing about my home country, instead of focusing on my studies. I could not make friends who would help me adjust to this new environment. My extreme naivety also contributed to my dismissal because I had no knowledge of suitable places to ask for help. I had several difficulties in interrelating with native people because of the impact of cultural shock.
My stay away from the university led to the following accomplishments. The first one is a significant improvement in comprehension of the English language. Currently, I have an admirable ability in responding to what people ask from me. I can also manage my time in the most efficient way because I can use time managing tools. I have commendable confidence in what I perform, and I have more discipline than before. My esteem allows me to initiate conversations with friends from all over the globe. It also allows me to offer relevant volunteer services to well known organizations, for example, Red Cross. My time away from the university has also encouraged me to improve general academic grades. This improvement comes from my ability to ask for help from relevant people.
I encounter both strengths and weaknesses while pursuing my academics. My potential entails the ability to create organized notes for my lectures. These notes enable me to intensify my understanding of relevant concepts. My weakness is managing my study materials. I cannot determine the volume of books I need for classes. This makes me to either carry minimal or excessive, and mostly irrelevant study materials from the library. Since I left the university, I have registered several changes. I can now determine the relevant materials that are necessary for my respective classes. I can also create better striking notes than before in the lectures that I attend.
Initially, my main study was Public Management, and there is no change that I will make about it. I insist on maintaining this because of diverse reasons. These reasons are both personal and professional and include the following aspects. The first aspect is the passion I have for the entire phenomenon of Public Management. During the dismissal period, I discovered that I was perfect at the major. This was evident from my application of Public Management concepts to several situations.
I would like to attain best grades after I finish this academic endeavor. My long-term goals include returning to my country after the conclusion of my education. I am hopeful that I will also attain my Masters Degree before I reach 25 years. My other goal is to be inspirational to my age mates in my home country. When I return to my home country, my chief goal will be to serve in the government. This will allow me to satisfy my consciousness and national responsibility because I will offer foreign expertise while at home. My plan to achieve the above goal includes extremely hard and intense study. This will inform my achievement of exemplary grades that will also connect me with relevant internship.
