  • Numbers are powerful. When the brain looks at a number, we the have power. The problem with number is that the brains do not know how to interpret numbers. One thing that serves as the biggest enemy of the system in any organisation is common sense.
  • If we use common sense to deal in systems, we end up in a lot of trouble especially when we deal with numbers. We need to be rational in how we do things by thinking outside the box.
  • For the quality of performance of workers to improve, then the managers need to improve the system. The managers need to build a conducive environment for workers
  • The top management is a system makes decisions that determine success or the collapse of a system.
  • Offering rewards to willing employees or punishing unwilling employees does not play a significant role in determining the outcome or results. Instilling fear in the workers also does not play any role in improving employee performance
  • Statistics is a good method to find out the problems that face a system. With the statistical evidences gathered, then the top managers can find the results to the problems and work on them
  • For a system to succeed, all employees must work towards improving the system. Following the outlined rigid procedures does not bring quality, employees should be creative and come up with different ways that will improve the system
  • The top management should not act on the assumption that the best worker today will still be the best workers in the future. There is room for perfection in other workers.
  • Rewarding and punishing workers who are willing do not play in the best interest of the system. This practice is both destructive and wrong.
