Disney website is a fun website for children and family members. This website provides a suitable platform for the children and family members to interact and have fun together. This report analysis shows both the positive and the negative effects of the Disney website on children and family members who uses the platform. The website has different features that entertain the children and general family members. With chat features, video clips, movies, and a million video adverts, this website has a lot of actions or events (Hurd, 2004).
Parents ought to know and understand that this site is truly a perfect fun destination for the whole family from the children to the adult members of the family. With the sleek and appealing look of the site, one can conclude that it got a lot going on beyond the sleek look. The site can be entertaining for some kids who embrace and know how to access it features. It can also be a nightmare for the ones who got no clue about what goes on the site but have the urge to access the site. It may be hard for these kids to interact with their colleagues since they do not know what transpires on the site. The site has movie clips, TV schedules and episodes, games galore, music, events, and travel information among other features. It also has Disney shopping extravaganza used to advertise products up for purchases, which the user can purchase (Miller, 2013).
The site runs many advertisements using video clips, animated banner adverts, and some on and off adverts promoting Disney products. The on and off adverts sometimes advertise products not belonging to Disney. The site also has a chat application where users can sign up and interact with friends or random strangers. To maximize security the chat sign up requires offline verification from the prospect users to ensure all users are human. It also requires parental approval for user accounts of the children below thirteen years of age. This not only regulates the user age limit but also improves the online safety of the underage online users since they have their parents’ guidance when using the sit (Nielsen & Tahir ,2004). The site allows kids to create their own pages with features such as icons, personal information, and all the other multimedia from the list provided by Disney site. From the findings about the site, one can conclude that the site makes a perfect destination for kids’ entertainment.

The website design is perfect and appealing but there is always room for improvement maybe as time goes it will require some improvement to keep up with the changing times.

A trend in homepage layout of Disney website over a number of times has seen changes and improvements. The changes result from new technological advancements. The current screen shot of the home page will not be the same in years to come. The changes always aim at improving the look and the functionality of the site. It makes using the site simple and easy. Apart from the homepage layout, the chat feature also needs improvements and advancements to accommodate features such as video calling and faster chatting. Lee & Madej, 2012).

From the in-depth considerations during the analysis, which covered the features, lay out, functionality, and improvements needed, Disney website meets considerable needs of its users. The entertainment features consisting of the video clips, hilarious cartoon adverts, TV series, and updates among others ensure that the entertainment needs of the users are fulfilled. Its security step measures minimize the risks, which its users are likely to face. It protects its underage users by seeking their parental approval to access some features such as the chat.
It is recommendable that the site owners update the site with the current trends in the entertainment and technology world. This aims at maintaining the company’s relevance in the current setting of world’s events.
