A Review about the French Chef Raymond Blanc

Raymond Blanc is an English professional chef, born in France but who has never cooked professionally in it. In The Very Hungry Frenchman, Raymond Blanc heads back to the country he loves most as well as the French Recipes that have motivated him (Chocolate Media). In every episode, Blanc acquires a restaurant for a single night and cooks food that is inspired by the region he is in; he explores the typical produce and cuisine of a diverse region prior to preparing a menu of conventional dishes. He will acquire the freshest ingredients from individuals that know them better, he also teaches how to prepare dishes and with help from British protégés, he places them on the table in a neighboring restaurant.

Raymond Blanc is a French chef who was born in 19thNovember 1949 in BesanÇon, currently he is one of the most respected chefs in Britain; he owns and cooks in several restaurants Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, Great Milton and Michelin stars.

While his sisters worked in the kitchen, his brother and he worked in the kitchen garden being taught by their father (BBCTWO). His fathered offered him calendar and a foraging map while the mother taught him cooking.

Blanc has never cooked proficiently in France as the French have very high expectations of him and was not sure if he would find the best ingredients, if he would mess up or if he would bring down the name of specialist names in France.

He desired to convey the French philosophy of “good food being central to good living” to UK. Food to him was meant to be made and offered to everyone for them to enjoy. He appeared in television shows; Great Chefs of the World.

In 2003, his Le Petit Blanc Brasseries located in Birmingham, Cheltenham, Manchester and Oxford, was composed into the Loch Fyne Restaurant Group portfolio. Several other restaurants have opened in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Winchester and Milton Keynes. He is well active in making of the menus, increasing the chef and kitchen teams and is involved in the advancement of the restaurants.
