Your research report will:
• • Identify a sports organisation1 and using the concepts from this course compile a report and presentation that details and evaluates the use of information systems or information technology within a sporting organisation.
• • Demonstrate a familiarity with some of the technological resources produced to support sport administration, governance and coaching.
• • Apply basic business management models to analyse how IT is used within Sporting organisations.
• • Demonstrate the proficient use of the modules in Microsoft Office 2010, basic website development tools and online learning resources;
• • Evaluate the functionality of different computer systems for different work environments.
• • Demonstrate a familiarity with some of the technological resources produced to support the implementation of specific strategies in coaching athletes and teams including video camera

Task Description:
o • You will complete a case study of the information technology and/or information system(s) used by the chosen sports organisation. You are required to conduct an audit of the information technology and/or information systems and make recommendations including the strengths and weaknesses that were revealed. Describe how the IT / IS are used to help the sports organisation gain a strategic or competitive advantage in the sport industry.
o • The content of the report must indicate a sound knowledge of the use, and impact, of information systems within the researched organization.
o • Your report should be a synthesis of ideas researched from a variety of sources and expressed in your own words. It should be written in clear English, and be submitted at the end of the lecture in week 10 in electronic format as either a Word document or a pdf file. This electronic file will be checked using TurnItIn for any evidence of plagiarism. You are expected to use references in the normal APA referencing style. A cover sheet should be attached to the assignment report confirming that the work is solely your own. May be any sport related business enterprise, organisation, club, team, or code.
