System Operation
To set up the computer to perform a daily scan at 03:00 several steps are to be followed to achieve this as described and illustrated below. This will be beneficial to the user as he or she will receive no disruption in the undertaking of the computer’s tasks. To perform this task one must possess a computer that is fully functioning and has an antivirus readily installed. The antivirus being used below is Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 9.0; open it by double clicking either from the icon on the task bar or from the icon placed on the desk top. It displayed as from the task bar.

The antivirus will open with a display shown above. Next go to the settings option on your right hand top corner, double click it to observe the options in store.
Once the settings is opened, you will find several options on your left hand side
Choosing the full scan option, as shown above, next click on the run mode option below the box
A dialog box will appear giving you several options which the antivirus should run, either scan, additional or run mode. Choose the run mode option, here you will meet further options to choose from; Manually or By schedule under schedule and Run task as option under user account.

Choose the By schedule option by clicking on the option circle as shown below. On the Frequency option choose the days option as it is supposed to run daily.
At the Run time option set it to read 3:00 AM, as it is supposed to run at 0300.
The other options are set at ones convenience like the post poning running of the scan after the computer has already started, running skip tasks and pausing scan when the scan screen saver is inactive.
Save the changes by clicking the OK option and consequently you may close the antivirus.
The antivirus will consequently scan the computer on a daily basis at 0300. One of the requirements to perform a successful daily scan at 0300, is that the antivirus has to be updated. This will help to ensure strong detection of any intrusion and your computer will run a daily scan at 3:00 AM. This procedure may vary depending on the antivirus one uses.
