Abstract
Modern electrical and computer engineering is a field of engineering that integrates electric systems and computer science to achieve engineering goals. So as to improve technology and to make work easier and more efficient. Electrical and computer engineering is becoming increasing the norm in engineering innovations in the modern world computer sciences are integrated and incorporated. Most modern engineering technologies are increasingly being integrated with computers which provide an interface where by the users of the technology can better operate the technologies as well as communicate with them. Engineers of all more increasingly being trained and equipped with skills to handle computer technology. There are many different kinds of engineering, key among which are mechanical , chemical , civil , biological and computer engineering .all these fields possess potentially great rewards both for the engineers as well as the users of the end products, which in many cases impacts society as a whole as opposed to a few individuals. The integration of electrical and computer engineering is becoming increasingly unavoidable as electricity and computer science and technology increasingly converge in modern innovations. As such, there are many companies that have dedicated their core business to engineering practices that combine the use of these two to create astounding innovations. This paper explores the Raytheon Technical Services Company which is an engineering company discussed in class. Raytheon deals with the provision of engineering solutions mainly for air vessels such as aircraft, jets as well as some land war vessels such as battle tankers .the paper explores the main responsibilities of the company in design and explores some of its success stories.
Introduction
The larger workings of engineering products and machinery are controlled by computer technology, which has served to improve electrical and computer engineering technology. Careers in engineering are becoming more computers and electronically oriented. The design of electronic hardware such as micro -chips is becoming a mandatory requirement for many engineering careers. In Modern days, Engineering careers have diversified from early engineering which mainly include the making of physical machinery in mechanical engineering. There has been accelerated growth of different fields of engineering as modernity demands for more innovation. This has led to the growth and expansion of chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and electro-magnetic engineering and most recently software and hardware computer engineering. Engineers apply their knowledge of mathematics and sciences a long with their computer ad electronic knowledge to design machines or improve on current technology, putting in mind possible hindrances such as availability of resources, technology, energy and such like variables.
