Technology is important in the day today lives of many people. Through technology, goods can be sold and bout online. Businesses have advanced from the traditional way of having to be in contact with the seller face to face in order to bargain for a given products. E- Commerce has enhanced all kinds of business online to occur at ease. In addition, organizations need not to look for customers through marketing their products in the traditional way. For example, buying magazines and newspapers to advertise a specific product, this is known as outbound marketing. However, technology has brought a new concept that focuses on targeting the customer to look for the product he wants. This is known as inbound marketing (“The 2011 state of inbound marketing”, 2011, p.3). More emphasis is done on putting enough information about a product on internet. The consumer can find satisfying information regarding the product he needs while he does his search.
The concept of inbound marketing can work for all sorts of business including managing hotels. For example, an Indian hotel may want to market itself in Massachusetts. Such an idea may sound expensive. However, inbound marketing things have been made easier. Massachusetts found in U.S.A comprises of different nationalities. It is not easy to convince other cultures to try eating what they have never eaten before. Therefore, an Indian restaurant can use blogs, podcasts or videos to show what they offer. Through inbound marketing, a restaurant will cut costs on advertising. Blogging is one of the common ways used by business people to give information on a product. For example, not all people are common with Indian foods. Blogging will help them ask questions on the kind of foods they would prefer and get to know more on what the restaurant offers. This will give the hotel an opportunity to know what people prefer to eat in the Indian restaurant. In the end, it will be an opening on knowing where to spend more to avoid wastage on certain foods.
Through blogging, people tend to share ideas. Those who have used a given product will give their opinion. It also allows for conflicting ideas that criticize the bad things an organization does. This will be healthy for an Indian restaurant. Through the critics they get, they will know where they go wrong and eventually learn to address such issues. In the end, as more comments that are positive come through the people in Massachusetts will know that Indian foods are good.
Traditionally people believe in what they see than what they hear. Using of social Medias and videos can enhance such an opportunity. The restaurants can allow people to video shoot while enjoying meals in that hotel. This will help in advertising the kind of environment the hotel is. In addition, video clips basing on how the hotel runs and what they provide may be helpful. This means that the hotel will have an opportunity to show what it offers best. People in Massachusetts will definitely see the video when they search on the internet. Facebook is another social media that has helped to bring up businesses. The Indian restaurant can use facebook to pass information easily through comments and chats
With the above discussion, it can be concluded that inbound marketing can play a huge role is sustaining the Indian restaurant. It will also help the hotel with latest ideas on how people in Massachusetts can have a glimpse on what happens in that hotel and in the end visit it. This means that the hotel will expand and more will be gained.
