You will be required to write a 3-5 page paper that analyzes your experience at a religious ritual from a religious tradition different from your own. Your essay should include a description of the event, but focus especially on the emotional impact that the ritual had on you. It must be a ritual you attend for purposes of writing this essay (memories of rituals you have previously attended will not suffice). Your description should allow me to visualize, experience, and understand the event in terms of ritual, prayer, music / chanting, order of events, building / location, etc. Weddings, bar/bat-mitzvahs, funerals, and in general functions which you attend primarily for social reasons are excluded. A lecture about a religion, a discussion with a religious person, or a non-religious yoga session are not acceptable experiences for this assignment. Can you write that I have been in muslim wedding ( my friend- female) were getting married. Can you write a lot of descriptions of that process. Please, follow the directions I noted above.
