Choosing the Right Running Shoe

Choosing the Right Running Shoe
Introduction
One of the best exercises to keep fit advised by physicians and other health officers are jogging and morning runs. In accordance to the international health centre, running is the only exercise that assists in keeping and balancing the body weight. Most of the exercise usually concentrates on a single body muscles and organs (Thomas 33). However, participating in running and jogging as away to keep fit is one of the aspect that most physicians advice their patients to indulge and work out. However, one of the major problems that are associated with running is choosing the best shoes to conduct the running, jogging exercise without inflicting pain to the toe (Tracy 30). Most of the time, people are seen running and when half way into the race, they tend to remove the shoes and run without any shoes covering their feet. This paper will focus on the aspects to consider in choosing the right running shoe.
One of the common mistakes conducted by almost all the people when going to by any form of shoes is getting attracted to the appearance of the shoes. Most of the buyers of shoes are always addicted to the way the shoes appear in the shopping malls. Most of the people will always find themselves with the wrong running shoes just because they like the way the shoes appeared in the display area in the shopping centers (Thomas 35). To avoid getting into such circumstances, when buying any shoes meant for running, the buyer should consider a sports centre. Purchasing running shoes from the sports centre is vital since there are qualified personnel to assist in choosing the best shoes. In most sports centers, there are qualified personnel in sports that assist the customers in choosing the best running shoes. For this reason, purchasing the shoes from the sports centers will assist in choosing the shoes that appropriately fit for exercise.
An additional aspect to be considered in selecting the best shoes for running is the flexibility of the shoes. The appropriate shoes for running ought to be flexible on the feet of the runner hence not squeezing the toes or any other part of the leg. An uncomfortable runner will not offer the expected results since most of the body weight is supported by the feet when running. The other body parts will only move in the expected direction if the feet are in a proper condition. For this reason, the flexibility of the shoes ought to be considering before purchasing the running shoes (Tracy 31).
In making the choice on the best shoes to use while running, the weight of the shoes also needs to be considered. In most running events, especially competition, almost all the participants in the race always wish to win the race. However, the shoes used by each athlete largely affect the performance of the runner during the competition. This is because the weight of the shoe will increase the drag in motion (Thomas 36). Wearing heavy shoes for running always increase the drag in the feet since the runner is expected to use a lot of energy in lifting the feet. For this reason, the runner will automatically use more energy in lifting the shoes and running hence increasing the resistance in motion.
Conclusion
One of the best exercises advised by most physicians is running which is most effective in promoting health in almost all human beings. However, the problem is that most people face difficulty in selecting the best shoes vital for performing the running exercise. To assist in choosing the best shoes for running, it is vital that the person aspiring to buy the shoes should purchase the shoes from the sports centers. Other aspect to consider is the flexibility and weight of the shoes, which will definitely affect the person’s movement while running (Tracy 32).
