Question 1
The CMAA is a professional organization meant for people with management responsibilities. The purpose of the organization is to ensure that they assist in the promotion of their members and nurture the friendly connection between the individual who are part of the club. The manager members of the club come from various locations of the planet but to the advancement of the relationship between them to unite everyone. A student can join the association only if he or she is a club manager considering the main achievement as assisting managers with handling of their responsibilities (Field, 2010). In order for someone to become a member to the association, a student stands a chance of gaining plenty of advantages that will assist in the future. First is access to the clubs material that contains plenty of information about management.
For the student, there are additional advantages where there is room for development of their career like being part of the Interim management service, an internship, a coaching hotline as well as a personal coaching session. Apart from those career development advantages, there is entree to communications in addition to publication that include, the club management magazine, career publication along with other newsletters that assist in personal build-up. Internship gives a student the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in a classroom. For someone who is willing to work in a confidential club, he or she is going to gain practical experience as being part of the Club Managers Association of America. The internship however provides supervised work experience during a student’s moment at the club (Masteralexis, Barr, & Hums, 2012). There are no fees required and more information on the requirements requisition is through the club’s national headquarters.
Question 2
The reason as to why people join such clubs is to establish an enthusiastic relation and nurture business as well as gaining a positive relation with their social contacts. Being part of the club is further advantageous since they offer benefits such as membership to over two hundred and fifty highly prominent business clubs, country clubs plus, resorts worldwide. The people with the urge to travel and those going on vacation benefit from membership of the club (Rutherford, & O’Fallon, 2009). It is an enthralling experience working for such clubs since one gets an opportunity to interact with people from various races and locations worldwide.
Question 3
Under the regency’s meeting category, there is information and a link about their facility meeting location as well as wedding and event planning. They display pictures of the facilities, hence, photos that speak about the service offered under the meeting category. They state a substantial reason for planning a meeting at the facility because it is their best facility around the globe with a combination of all remarkable resources (Ford, Sturman, & Heaton, 2012). Personally, I would like working at such a club someday at the management capacity since it offers room for exploring the management field for it is a large facility.
Question 4
The best place to hold a meeting for hospitality students association would be a resort or any hotel with a conference room. This plays a vital role in that the students part of the association have a close encounter with their field of profession (Bardi, 2011). In addition to that, they have an opportunity to interact with the people working at the facility and inquire more about the hospitality industry. The best event is a fund raising for assisting the association to acquire materials for use by the student members of the association.
