The importance of risk management on a project
Your assignment is to write a recommendation paper to a group of executives. The objective is to communicate a set of recommendations or best practices concerning project management.
1) Recommendation paper (i.e.: how your client may implement PM best practices to improve customer satisfaction).
The executives are struggling because their projects continue to fail in terms of meeting customer requirements and stated objectives. They are most concerned with customer satisfaction. The paper length should be 6-7 pages. The paper should be in APA style formatting.
Your research should include reading 6-10 journal papers on the project, three of which must be academic journals. To complete the project successfully, you must do several things:
• Gain sufficient background and knowledge about the topic to provide a basis for your recommendation.
• Use what you learn in class and your own experience to do the following:
o Understand and explain the problem
o Understand and explain the recommendations
You are expected to have proficiency in written communication. This assignment will require that you demonstrate that proficiency. Your research paper should clearly communicate the details and critical analysis of your topic in an organized and concise manner.
The research paper will be broken down into small milestones. these milestones include:
1. Milestone 1 – Topic selection – The importance of risk management on a project – Completed
2. Milestone 2 – Thesis statement and purpose – completed
3. Milestone 3 – Outline and references – 3 min academic journals and 7 research journals – – completed
4. Milestone 4- final paper
5. Milestone 5 – a presentation
