What I’d like you to do for our class is to write an academic style summary/reflection on that article and post it here.
Be sure to introduce the subject of the article, and have a clear thesis statement that captures the big idea/main focal point of the article. Highlight and explain the main points in the next paragraphs. Include your own reflections/comments on what you think is most interesting or significant, and why. But do this without using “I”. For example, instead of saying, “I think this research is really interesting, because…,” instead, say something like, “What makes this research most significant is the fact that scientists have been trying for years to understand the process of …. Because of this limited understanding, ……[state the result]. With this discovery, it may now be possible to ….[treat a particular disease, retain memories more accurately,…( whatever).”
Finally, use APA formatting to correctly cite in-text and in a Reference section at the end. Read your summary carefully (out loud to yourself, as well as silently) and make corrections before submitting.
