This paper is a Literature Review.Your paper will include a rationale and a plan for carrying out a teacher development programme either for yourself (but with others involved) or for a group of colleagues in a specific language teaching context. This can be an institution with which you are familiar (with the name changed) or an imaginary institution based on a combination of institutions that you know. In the paper you should clearly demonstrate the value of the professional development initiative to yourself and other colleagues where relevant, the institution, and the wider world of language teaching practice. To present a strong case, you therefore need to show that you have considered any possible disadvantages of introducing this initiative as well as the advantages. You should base your argument on a range of theoretical perspectives and evidence from the research literature discussed on the module and sources you find yourself.
