• ABSTRACT
Your abstract should be a 100 – 250 wordsummary specifying topic investigated, overview of research, and what you discovered(one paragraph on one page). Not counted to the paper length.

• MAIN BODY
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE COUNTRY (1-2 pages)
1-2 pages. This part should contain the following information about the country: Country Name; Population; Geographic Area; Type of Government; Capital; Leader’s Title and Name; Predominant Religion; Language; Type of the Legal System; Type of Police and Number (National or Federal, State or Province, Local, Third Force); Corrections; Crime Rates (Murder, Rape, Robbery, Burglary) – use CIA World Factbook for that.

The structure of the research paper:
Corrections

Brief description of the structure, numbers
Correction officers (their duties and responsibilities, ranks)
Inmates (programs, conditions of imprisonment, early release, etc.)
Current problems that the system faces (news, recent developments, new courts cases, etc)

Conclusions
Every source in this section must alsobe listed in the References section. Demonstrate that you have explored the published literature in depth. Highest priority for journal articles, second order for books, & third order for newspapers, newsstand magazines, etc., related to your topic. Demonstrate your ability to relate the existing literature to your research problem. Keep in mind that your sources need not solely nor exclusively be about your specific research topic, but must be more than a casual mention in the sources you use.

Provide your conclusion at the end of this section summing up the findings, expressing your personal views on the topic, or comparing/contrasting the topic to the US criminal justice system.

• Alphabetically by author’s last name.
• Every source mentioned in the Main Body section must be listed in the References section.
• Must include a minimum of 10sources, including books, journal and magazine articles, and on-line sources.Your textbook is not counted toward this number.
• You may include other sources, e.g., news magazine articles, television news items that can be verified, such as with videotape or on-line post, blog, interview(s), etc.
• Footnoting is not acceptable formatting. Purdue University’s OWL incorporates the American Psychological Association’s (APA) format.
