Using our readings and class discussions, describe a unique, non-biological characteristic about your
family—something as personal and telling to your family as a physical trait (i.e. a name, an origin, a
family heirloom, etc.). Discuss its importance to your family, specifically what it reveals about your
family, positive and/or negative. Cite our course readings to frame/support your response.
Instructions:
Respond to each prompt by constructing a 4-6 page academic essay, complete with at least three intext
citations to support your response. Provide a bibliography. You may cite in the MLA or
Chicago format.
Format:
Typed and double-spaced; 12-inch font in Times New Roman; 1 inch margins; black ink only;
number all pages and include heading; title your work. Staple all pages.
