Sachs suggests that the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) provide the opportunity to address the failures of the structural adjustment and neoliberal reform packages promoted by the macro approach. Discuss: (1) how/why the MDG fit into the macro approach to aid; and (2) how they can better incorporate Sachs’ clinical economics than previous approaches.
