After four months of working, you came up with an idea of challenges facing your store. It is clear that there is a growing absence rate among the store’s staff, mostly sick leave. Staff morals seem to be not that high. Sales in your branch fall behind the other branches. The telephone bill for your store is nearly twice that of other stores in the chain. Occasional personal calls are allowed, providing that permission has to be given by the store manager.
The branch has a formal appraisal process for all the staff, but it seems that the previous manager neglected this area.
The company operates an annual employee opinion survey. In the last survey held a month ago, employees in your branch raised concerns over lack of training.
