Purpose
The purpose of this essay is for the student to reflect on their psychological strengths and how these, and other possible strengths, could be further developed using positive psychology techniques.
Marking Criteria
Your reflective essay should include:
1. Personal psychological strengths identified (atleast 2)
2. Psychological strengths discussed in relation to the literature on positive psychology
3. Discussion of the method used to assess/identify these strengths
4. Discussion of the impact of these strengths on your life (eg: health, career, education and / or relationships)
5. An analysis of how the strengths may be developed
6. Evidence of familiarity with relevant literature and theory
7. Evidence of self-awareness and ability to self-reflect
8. Clear and logical presentation which includes introduction and conclusion
9. Academic writing style is used, including correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
10. Word count is within + or – 10% of requirement
11. In-text referencing and reference list follows APA referencing style (6th ed.) as set out in the Academic Skills Guide (minimum four references
