This essay has to be *very narrow* and supported by many outside sources, but majority of them have to from “Twilight” (The book which talks about the 1992 LA riot)
*Here is the outline that my professor needs us to follow*
Introduction: grab interest and identify general subject matter. It needs to start very broad and narrow down slowly by each sentence. (1 Paragraph)
Background: identify specific topic and provide the importance, relevance, history and impact of the topic. Briefly discuss effects because this essay is writing a specific cause of riot. (1-2 paragraphs)
Summation of lesser causes: briefly list the causes that are NOT the focus of your essay and explain their exclusion (1-2 paragraphs)
Thesis: identify the main causes that your essay focuses on and explain why they should be studied (1 paragraph)
Analysis: discuss the importance of each main cause or effect (minimum of 1 paragraph)
Conclusion: pass some kind of judgment on your analysis. Do the positives outweigh the negatives? What can we expect down the road? Should we work to alter the causes discussed? (1-2paragraphs)
