Momma B’s Bistro and Eatery webpage

Family Web Site
Sloan’s parents continually ask her for the latest photos of her children. She considered posting them on a photo sharing web site, but decided to create her own web site instead and post it on her ISPs server. She wants to start by creating a simple web page with only a few photos.

Create a folder to contain all of the files for your web site.
Save two photos to the folder. Rename the photos pic1 and pic2.
Start Notepad. (Start Menu/All Programs/Accessories) or (Windows 8: Search Notepad)
Type the HTML tags needed to create the document structure.
Add Your Last Name Family Photos as the page title and as an H1 head in the body section.
In the body section, type a few sentences that explain the purpose of the page.
Type the HTML tags to reference the two photos (pic1 and pic2).
Add captions below each photo, and then format each caption as bold.
Add a mailto link at the bottom of your web page so that people can contact you at your e-mail address.
Review the document you created and make sure you have all of the necessary HTML tags.
Save the file as Photos.html, and then view it in your browser.
If any items on your page do not display correctly, edit the file in Notepad, save the changes, then refresh the browser window to view the changes.
Close your browser and exit Notepad.
Submit your project (Photos.html along with your two photos) as a zipped folder through Blackboard’s Submit Assignment option (click on the title of the project above, on the next screen scroll down, attach and submit your file). DO NOT E-MAIL YOUR PROJECT.
