Outline of Research. Please state objectives of your study, some literature that you are familiar with in relation to the topic area and relevance of the study. Outline any ethical issues that may arise from this study.
You are asked to discuss any initial ideas for your dissertation with the Programme Leader. You must also submit a short (1-2 page) outline of your proposed dissertation. This should contain:
– the title;
– a short description and explanation of the research question and topic;
– discussion of research methods to be used (as detailed as possible);
– a short discussion of background material available;
– brief bibliography: e.g. 8-10 key references.
Full-time MA students should endeavour to submit this before the summer Examination Board: e.g. by 24th June; part-time students are encouraged to submit this early as well; however, they can submit the outline by the beginning of Autumn Term, 2013 if needed.
