Please answer two following questions about User Interface Design.
Questions 1:
Thinking about design. Take digital photos or screen captures of three interfaces that you believe were designed particularly well and photos of three other interfaces that you believe were designed poorly. The interfaces must be from interactive software or interactive products. For each photo, write a brief caption that clearly describes the particular strength or weakness of the interface.
Question 2:
Learning to listen to users. Conduct brief interviews with two people who often use interactive devices (desktop computers, mobile phones, MP3 players, etc.). Ask each person to describe the most significant problem they encounter when interacting with the device. Ask them how frustrating it is to encounter the problem, how much the problem affects their ability to accomplish their overall goal, and what they think could be done to correct it. However, do not try to force answers. A good approach is to keep them talking and prompt the conversation with questions. Regarding what to hand in, you should describe the problems discussed, provide an analysis of why the problems occurred, and explain (with rough sketches if it helps) how the problems might be corrected.
