I have written a dissertation and I would like to edit it. I need more academic book resources and 1000 more words. Plus if you can proof read it and fix my mistakes.
Plus these are a couple of notes that I have:
• You need to signpost the structure better. It isn’t clear where the Literature Review ends, and the analysis begins.
• Your Literature Review needs to draw on a lot more books. The purpose of a Lit Review is to show that you are familiar with everything relevant that has been written on Hitchcock’s technique. I would expect to see a minimum of 20 good-quality sources in an essay of this length.
• Your Literature Review should be more analytical. You should be able to draw out the main ideas that are found in the work of theorists that have discussed Hitchcock, compare them to each other.
• There should be a clear link between the Literature Review and your own analysis. This would usually take a three-part structure – What have other people written about a subject; what do you think about the subject, after doing some analysis; how does your analysis relate to the ideas of others. So, it terms of essay structure, think of it as Literature Review – Analysis – Conclusion. But, within that structure, you should have clear links; so, if your Literature Review has a section on lighting, then your analysis should also have a section on lighting, and you should draw a conclusion about the use of lighting at the end.
