Here are the directions for the assignment:
1. Select a magazine advertisement of your choice. Note the date of the ad and the magazine in which it appeared.
2. Write an evaluation of your selected advertisement ( approximately 1-2 pages double spaced) in which you answer the following questions:
a. What do you think the objectives were for this ad and who is the target market?
b. Does the ad seem to be part of a positioning strategy? If so, what seems to be the postioning approach being used?
c. What type of message format/execution style appears to be used in this ad?
d. Does the ad have good message strength? ( Discuss in relation to the categories of message strength presented in class)
e. Was this magazine a good choice of media for the ad? ( Discuss in relation to media selection criteria presented in class)
3. Attach a copy of your selected ad to your written evaluation and turn in hard copy of both.
