Write a critical essay examining a Romantic period writer and Victorian period writer. Compare and contrast.
Examine two characters, John Keats (Romantic) and Lord Alfred Tennyson (Victorian). Show the similarities and differences between the two periods, as reflected in the writers you choose. Emphasize artistic qualities, elements and characteristics of the literary works and may include historical period information and biographical background of the poets or novelists you choose. Paper should demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of British Literature in the Nineteenth Century.
The essay must include at least six scholarly sources, cited both in the text and in a Works Cited page, using MLA documentation. The length must be 1,500 to 2,500 words (papers shorter or longer will lose credit).
Follow MLA guidelines for manuscript format and citations, including a list of works consulted and a bibliography.
