The research paper I am doing is on why schools should require students to learn a foreign language.
You must have at least one piece of supporting evidence per point (although it is a good idea to have at 2 least pieces of supporting evidence per point). You will need a minimum of 3 pieces of supporting evidence–ie. in-text citations). Additionally, you must have a minimum of 3 sources for your Works Cited page.
Then, write your rough draft. The paper should be a minimum of 3-5 pages long. Remember, this paper must be an argument that uses sources to help you prove that argument. The things I will be looking for on your final draft include
a well-formulated thesis statement
3 or more supporting points
how you organized those points
how you developed those points
appropriate use of research
adherence to MLA format
adherence to MLA documentation style
a correct Works Cited page
appropriate college-level writing style
grammar/ mechanics
