The topic of my research project will be over Condorcet and his role during the Enlightenment Age. I will be explaining how he was able to change lives and still ended up giving his own in the process. I have chosen this topic because I found it highly interesting during the last segment we did in this class. He had high hopes and did everything out of the ordinary, ended up changing the world, but he didn’t get to live long enough to see his accomplishments.
I have found the following three references. The journal article entitles “Progress as Human Rights:Condorcet and the Human Rights Discourse” will provide extensive knowledge of Condorcet and his fight for civil and equal rights during the French Revolution. The website, “Thoughts about K4D” will give further insight on how he came about his ideas and being known. In a book named “Eightenth Century Europe”, it will give an immense amount of background information on Condorcet as a person and a politician.
