Assignment #1
So far, in class, we have read George Orwell and listened to a variety of music that shows elements of international influence, such as The Beatles, The Who, and English punk rock music. For Assignment #1, I would like you to analyze a form of globalization in which the consumer, viewer or listener benefits from globalization. You must analyze a single specific form, such as the music of the Beatles, Thai food, the movies of a specific director, etc.
You must summarize your chosen form of globalization, provide examples and explain how they function as elements of globalization, as well as discuss the importance of this form.
Keep in mind, you must also provide at least one dissenting voice – an opposing viewpoint.
Length: 4-6 pages
