Examine the range of possible special printing effects – die cutting and raised print. Use photographs to clearly indicate the characteristics of each effect. Using examples, show the technical processes involved to produce each special effect (include visuals of how the artwork and fonts should be set up in Indesign or Illustrator and how the effect is produced by the printer). Find out which effects can be created using digital printing and which can only be created using offset or letterpress machines.
