This essay must be a literature review. I have included the structure further down in this box. It must be an essay, as a literature review.
The LITERATURE REVIEW QUESTION: Analyse and discuss the key characteristics of Harold Lasswell’s policy orientation
Word Count: 1200 words (Not 1375 words) (Specific amount per section included in structure below)
STRUCTURE:
1) Introduction – Introduce the topic and describe the selected focus (approximately 150 words).
2) Literature review – You need to outline the arguments of each of the three articles selected and then spend a couple of paragraphs or more comparing the respective arguments of the three articles for similar or different views (approximately 1,000 words).
3) Conclusion – What are your overall impressions of the material? Which argument or arguments do you think is / are the most powerful? (approximately 50 words).
4) Reference List (not included in word count)
Further Notes:
-MUST be written from a social science perspective
-I will upload a referencing guide. The paper MUST INCLUDE the intext citations AND the web link to the articles with the specific reference in the reference list. The web link must include the database the article was obtained from (Database examples include proquest, jstor, heinonline). The reference list must be in alphabetical order.
-This paper must ONLY use 3 ACADEMIC JOURNAL ARTICLES
-These academic journal articles must be from AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT DATABASES
-These academic journal articles must be written between 2005-2015. You cannot use any written before 2005.
MARKING CRITERIA FOR AT LEAST A 90/100:
-Clarity / quality of the writing
-Structure & organisation of the answer (appropriate intro, logical paragraph linkages, appropriate conclusion)
-Presentation of arguments
-Comparison of the arguments
-Conclusion – draws the paper together
-Citing of sources and referencing
-Overall quality
