– FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTION AND THE PAPER ATTACHED
– The proposals should have a 1-2 page introduction about the theme of trade in Africa through the different regions at different times
– It should also make an argument why Trade is unique importance to be highlighted in such a collection. This introduction should be followed by a section detailing the organisation of the selected articles. It is in this section where you will demonstrate how your selected pieces fit together logically, so think strategically while arranging this section. This section should be conceptually and historiographically focused and should show how the selected works speak together (i.e. build upon or refute one another). Finally, you should conclude with a section reflecting on the collection’s potential contribution to the field of African history. Here is where you will connect the proposal to key themes we have addressed in the course and, in so doing, illustrating your understanding of historiographical and methodological tensions shaping Africanist scholarship.
