In one of your readings on Japanese society, warm contact with the old is important. As society becomes more “efficient” we have less physical contact with others. An example of this is the use of an electronic mobile unit while eating a meal with another person/family.
Make an observation of such a situation. Describe in details. What are chances of an old person in the group having a conversation or a little physical contact during the meal.
