We will study 5 psychologists. Each student will study and write on ONE psychologist. I am selecting your psychologist for you alphabetically:
Use the first letter of your last name to choose your topic (psychologist and their approach)

5. It is ok to go to the library and look at some books.
6. Do not read too much –5 articles can be enough; no more than 7.
Getting started. Find Good web sites–no more than 5. The “Societies”often have good overviews. Read the outline below so that you are asking yourself questions as you read. Form your list of Key terms and definitions as you are reading. Email me if you have difficulty. But in the end you will need to break down the information in the articles and organize into your essay.

You will inquire into the information and organize your essay using the following 5 part Outline/Template
1. Biographical info
A. When and Where (are they from)
B. Education
C. Influenced by/History/precursors
D. “School of thought” type of psychology—(just name it. .Describe it in section 2)
Influence on others—societies etc.
2. Psychological view –In depth description of type of psychology and the basic concepts. Create Appendix of terms
3. Theory of Personality/human nature
4. Theory of Psychotherapy/treatment
5. Current Status ( Use as Closure paragraph/Conclusion)

So your essay will have five sections and each of the sections has a specific purpose. You can develop a really good essay if you find and read good articles and try to understand the person and their approach through this Outline. Write no more than 400 words in the first section. I want the bulk of your essay to cover their psychological ideas and philosophies.
