Movie Assignment (This is for a psychiatric practitioner student)
Student will watch a mental health “Silent of the Lambs”. You will identify the main character(s)and list of options for Axis I, II, III, IV, and V. You will need to provide a rationale for each axis. Given the main characters diagnosis, describe your plan of care (include possible medication and therapy options) and the rationale for your plan of care. Please use APA format with citations and a reference page included. Again, the DSM V does not delineate Axis but it is my belief that you need an understanding of them as many institutions are still using (usually r/t cost of new software/programming…so you will still most likely see this used in the clinical setting). (Use DSM IV for the axis)
