Review Toyota Production System (TPS) to become subject matter experts on TPS. Research to understand why TPS has been financially successful for Toyota. Also research why most companies fail to see substantial financial benefits from implementing TPS. Relate your research findings to your organization.
Write an essay to include the following:
An explanation of how TPS came to be within Toyota
An explanation of why TPS has been largely successful at Toyota
Give several (minimum 3) real world examples of companies that attempted to implement TPS but failed to get financial improvement that justified the costs of implementation
An explanation of why TPS will improve your company
Your paper should be between 1,000 to 1,200 words (excluding diagram and/or charts, and references). You should use a minimum of five references, two of which must come from peer reviewed sources. Your paper should be in APA format.
