Using your agency’s Disaster Operations Plan or Emergency Operations Plan, provide a summary of the plan that includes the following: 1) How does the plan compare to what you learned in this course?; 2) What are the strengths of your plan?; Why 3) Do you have recommendations for improvement? Why?; 4) How is this plan tested or validated? 5) What type of exercise was used? When? How did it perform? 6) Were recommendations implemented after the exercise? 7) If not, why not? 7) What is your general impression about the plan and your agency’s ability to perform in the face of your greatest risk? Why?
If you are not affiliated with a public safety agency, you are free to use the plan for your facility (if available) or contact your local government agency such as the City or County Emergency Management Office and ask for a copy of their plan and any recent exercises.
