Kolb’s Theory of Experiential Learning. Kolb’s experiential learning theory consists of a four stage learning cycle where learner will encounter all four stages of the cycle in varying degrees: concrete experience (CE), reflected observation (RO), abstract conceptualization (AC) – thinking, and active experimentation (AE). Kolb has developed the Experiential Learning theory in order to explain the connections between the human development stages of maturation, learning processes and experiences. I chose this topic because I think how one learns is a fascinating process that includes a variety of theoretical methods and individual learning styles. Therefore, I am looking forward to gain some insight on this topic.
