In this activity, you will design your own flow chart that highlights a portion of the chocolate manufacturing process. Here’s what you need to do:
1) Determine if you would rather diagram the chocolate manufacturing process from harvest to cocoa bean drying, or from roasting to conching.
2) Design a flow chart that shows the sequence of all steps in your chosen part of the chocolate-making process.
3) For each step, you need to have the following things:
a. A 4 -5 sentence summary of what is happening in each step. Make sure you include in your summary the purpose of the step as well.
b. A picture of the step in progress. Do not use any of the pictures I used in my notes or examples!
4) Use whatever design you wish, but make sure the steps are in order and each step has the required data.
