Take one hour to watch the testimonies of these 70 survivors of Auschwitz, the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp
Second go to the website for the Southern Poverty Law Center

Substantive Post Instructions
Write a minimum of 300 words initial post in response to the following questions:
1- What remembrances by the Auschwitz survivors do you find particularly disturbing? (Note whose remembrances these are) Why?
2- We now know that German citizens were aware that Jews, Gypsies (Roma people), the disabled and political criminals were being sent to concentration/extermination camps. What is it about the Fascist political ideology that would allow the German people who supported this political ideology to believe that such actions were justified?
3- Why is the fascist ideology attractive to many of those individuals and groups profiled on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s website? What are the attitudes, beliefs and other characteristics who today support the fascist political ideology in the U.S.?
