Directions:
1. Refer to the attached Psychoanalaysis annotated bibliography and outline. Use it to create a synthesis paper (2,000 – 2,500 words).
2. Provide an annotated bibliography for journal articles: Kluners, Schut & Castonguary, Summers, and Newirth (see attached references). Include it in the synthesis paper.
3. Include all the articles in the paper, also to be included:
a. A statement of common themes address in each of the articles.
b. A statement of the conclusions drawn from the articles but put together as a single entity:
i. What is the overall message of the group of articles?
ii. What are the processes and challenges that individuals may face through adulthood?
iii. Why are the unconscious mind, dreams, and ego defense mechanisms important to understand from the
psychoanalytic perspective?
iv. Address the notion that Freud and the psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory that suggest that
early stages of development have a significant impact on our relationship and our ego through
the life span.
